Since 2005, LEGO has partnered with Star Wars to create some zany fun for fans of a galaxy far, far away, and that paring finally continues in 2022. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is almost here, and we’re showing off some new gameplay and discussing our review thoughts on developer TT Games’ latest wacky adventure.
Join Andrew Reiner, the game’s reviewer, and host Alex Stadnik as they take you on an opening tour of the game. We travel to the first moments of The Phantom Menace, A New Hope, and The Force Awakens to give you a sense of how the game will play over the different trilogy entries. The combat gets an upgrade in The Skywalker Saga with everything from Obi-Wan’s lightsaber feeling great to throw to Leia’s blaster feeling smooth as you zoom in on the soon-to-be doomed Stormtroopers. On top of combat, we also discuss the huge character count, how puzzles are implemented, and whether or not this is the LEGO Star Wars title you’ve been waiting for!

“Developer TT Games has been making Lego games for a long time, and this ambitious project shows this studio at the top of its game, delivering brick-smashing fun and wonderfully absurd Star Wars humor from start to finish. While nailing the little moments, the immense scale of the project appears to have been too wide for TT Games to harness, as some of the content is uncharacteristically dull or uneven.”
